Today is my first post on my new blog. A nice milestone, let’s call it the official birthday of the blog! More importantly today we celebrated my mother’s 70th birthday at our house, which formed the most important event of the day. We had a great night together.

The inspiration to start with a site again came from Aartie. Seeing the awesome things she does on social media motivated me to start a blog. Thanks Aartie!

So the past days I spent reading up on WordPress, blogging and plugins. Thought about a basic setup of the blog and started with programming. The current result is far from what I want to achieve, but contains the basic elements I want it to include. They are to focus on my profession and expertise, to use it as a professional reflective tool (i.e. by a coupling to LinkedIn for example), to maintain a blog and to present myself through a portfolio. Parts which I’m still thinking about but aren’t included for example include a gallery.

I’ll give priority in the coming weeks to general set up and tweaking of the blog and starting up posts. You’ll find that I’ll first share some older articles I wrote on LinkedIn. I’ll also put time into presentation of posts. This means people who follow the blog will see frequent updates or changes/tests, also on the live version. To me it’s a journey I like to show/experience. Some followers will enjoy this, others might not. All I can say is enjoy the ride and leave me a comment in my blog posts.
